Dr. Shawhan

Because of Dr. Shawhan's exceptional care for animals and his commitment to his community; JVAH has grown to be recognized as one of Houston's premier full service animal hospitals.

Dr. Shawhan received his DVM from Louisiana State University in 1981.  He purchased Jersey Village Animal Hospital in 1983 with the goal of providing exceptional care to every patient. 
 
Dr. Shawhan received the Humanitarian Award from Houston Pet Placement League and was named one of the Best Veterinarians by Houston Magazine in 2004.  His special interests include reconstructive and orthopedic surgery.
 
Dr. Shawhan enjoys golf and spending time with his wife, Tracy and 3 sons, Matt, Grant and Brad.  He has a Vizsla, Hannah and 4 cats, Murphy, Weeger, Winston and Hugo.


Dr. Hennessey

Dr. Hennessey joined Jersey Village Animal Hospital in 2003.  He received both his Bachelors of Veterinary Science and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University.  His special interests include ultrasonography, internal medicine, exotic animals, and behavioral medicine.  

   Dr. Hennessey received the Angel for Animals Award from the Homeless Pet Placement League in 2004.  

   Dr. Hennessey personally enjoys basketball, jogging, and his pets, a Golden Retriever, Nash; a French Bulldog, Maddie; a Rhodesian Ridgeback, Kenzie; two cats, Meja and Jag; two horses, Sabrina and Classy; and two young donkeys, Marco and Polo.

   Dr. Hennessey's wife is also a veterinarian and works in emergency medicine.  The most recent addition to the Hennessey family is their beautiful daughter Taylor.

Dr. Haese

Dr. Angela Haese joined Jersey Village Animal Hospital in 2006. She graduated with honors from Texas A&M University where she received both a Bachelors degree in Business Administration and a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Haese is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Texas Veterinary Medical Association.  Her special interests in veterinary medicine include canine and feline internal medicine.

Dr. Haese shares a home with her husband, David, their two cats, Scout and Adonis, and their dog, Foxy. In her personal time she enjoys traveling, reading, watching movies, dining out, shopping and spending time with family and friends.

 

 

Dr. Justus
Dr. Justus

Dr. Carolyn Justus joined Jersey Village Animal Hospital in June 2007.  She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M University's College of Veterinary Medicine.  She previously worked at an equine and small animal practice in the Tomball area.  

   Her special interests in veterinary medicine include soft tissue surgery, behavioral medicine, and emergency medicine.  She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.

   In her free time, Dr. Justus enjoys running with her two pointers, George and Raven, horseback riding, reading, and visiting friends and family.  In addition to George and Raven, she also has a dachshund named Martini, three horses, and an assortment of cats.
