Blood Testing and Urinalysis

Animals often don’t show signs of pain or illness until their disease is quite advanced.  Up to 68% of diseases can be treated with early detection using diagnostics such as bloodwork and urinalysis.

Common diseases that can be detected with blood work and urinalysis include:

  • Kidney Disease
  • Liver Disease
  • Diabetes Mellitus
  • Adrenal Disease
  • Thyroid Disease
  • Pancreatitis
  • Anemia
  • Infection

Blood work and urinalysis can also help monitor a pet’s response to treatment.  If your pet is having symptoms of disease, it is important to have them examined by a veterinarian.  A treatment plan will be made based on the results of a physical exam and diagnostic tests such as blood work and urinalysis.
