Radiographs (X-Rays)

Radiographs, or X-Rays, are useful in detecting disease in an animal’s skeletal system as well as some soft tissue organs.

Common diseases that can be detected with radiographs include:

  • Fractures
  • Pneumothorax
  • Bladder Stones
  • Cancerous Masses
  • Pneumonia
  • Bowel Obstruction/Foreign Body
  • Heart Disease
  • Dental Disease

If your pet is having symptoms of disease, it is important to have them examined by a veterinarian.  A treatment plan will be made based on the results of a physical exam and diagnostic tests such as radiographs.
